Our Relationship with Creators
ScholarsView is built around creators who contribute original knowledge, professional insights, research and informed perspectives.
We aim to provide a platform where creators can share their work with readers while maintaining ownership of their original intellectual contributions.
At the same time, publishing on ScholarsView requires creators to grant certain permissions that allow the platform to host, display and distribute their work.
This page explains these responsibilities and rights. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Your Rights as a Creator
Creators retain ownership of the original content they create and submit to ScholarsView, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.
Publishing an article on ScholarsView does not transfer ownership of that article to the platform.
Creators may continue to hold and exercise their ownership rights, subject to the publishing licence granted to ScholarsView and applicable agreements.
Ownership Remains with the Creator
Your original work remains yours. ScholarsView receives permission to use the content for operating and promoting the platform, but this permission does not transfer ownership to ScholarsView.
Permission Granted to ScholarsView
When creators submit and publish content on ScholarsView, they grant the platform a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to use that content for operating and promoting ScholarsView.
This licence allows ScholarsView to:
- ✓Host and store published articles and associated content.
- ✓Reproduce and display articles on the ScholarsView platform.
- ✓Distribute and make articles available to readers.
- ✓Use published content in relevant platform-related promotional channels.
- ✓Make technical and formatting changes necessary to display and operate the platform.
This permission is intended to support the operation and promotion of ScholarsView. It does not transfer ownership of the original work from the creator to the platform.
Responsibilities of Creators
Every creator is responsible for the content they submit and publish through ScholarsView.
01
Content Accuracy
Creators are responsible for making reasonable efforts to ensure that their articles contain accurate information, properly represented facts and reliable supporting references.
02
Originality and Ownership
Creators must submit work that they have the right to publish. They must not copy, plagiarise or unlawfully reproduce another person's work.
03
Copyright and Permissions
Creators must obtain appropriate permissions or have another valid legal basis before using third-party images, research, illustrations, quotations or other protected materials.
04
Professional Conduct
Creators should communicate respectfully, avoid misleading readers and follow the platform's editorial and community standards.
05
Disclosure and Transparency
Creators should disclose relevant financial, professional or personal interests and provide appropriate transparency about their content and sources.
06
Post-Publication Responsibility
Creators should notify ScholarsView when they identify significant errors or concerns in their published articles and cooperate with reasonable requests to address policy violations.
Third-Party Content and Intellectual Property
Creators are responsible for ensuring that the material they submit does not unlawfully violate another person's intellectual property rights.
Images, photographs, illustrations, quotations, research and other third-party materials must be used with appropriate permission, licensing or another valid legal basis.
Creators must provide attribution wherever required and must not represent another person's work as their own.
